Key Performance Area:
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of AS9100-D and NADCAP requirements relevant to aerospace procurement.
- Execute and oversee the end-to-end aerospace procurement process flow, ensuring strict adherence to documentation protocols and compliance standards.
- Possess thorough understanding of customer-specific standards applicable to aerospace procurement activities.
- Leverage technical awareness of machining, surface treatment, heat treatment, and related manufacturing processes as value-added capabilities.
- Engage in supplier development and management, including global sourcing initiatives, while employing effective communication and negotiation skills to drive favorable outcomes.
- Exhibit hands-on experience with SAP or equivalent procurement software within an aerospace industry context, as a mandatory requirement.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential suppliers aligned with aerospace industry requirements and specifications.
- Proactively monitor and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
- Liaise with vendors to initiate purchase orders based on internal demand forecasts, while supporting the purchasing department’s operational continuity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical bottlenecks, including customs clearance issues, to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure strict compliance with corporate procurement guidelines and industry regulations.
- Regularly review inventory ageing reports and enforce the implementation of standard procurement processes.
- Issue replenishment orders to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing both stock-outs and overstock scenarios.
- Establish and monitor key procurement performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare monthly procurement performance reports for senior management.
- Conduct effective and strategic sourcing to support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives in collaboration with engineering and R&D teams.
